Students at UTC Derby Pride Park celebrate technical and A Level success
Students at UTC Derby Pride Park are celebrating a strong set of technical and academic results.
At our technical school on Locomotive Way, Pride Park, students complete technical qualifications in engineering or health and life sciences as well as A Levels.
The technical qualifications are equivalent to between one and three A Levels.
Key trends for the UTC in this year’s results include:
- the technical qualification pass rate for engineering is 100%
- the technical qualification pass rate for health and life sciences is 100%
- 29% of engineering students achieved a distinction*.
- 25% of health and life sciences students achieved a distinction*.
- 100% of students completed academic subjects alongside their technical qualifications.
Students are progressing to a range of degree courses including biomedical science, mechanical engineering, product design engineering, robotics engineering and many more.
The destinations include Nottingham Trent University, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Anglia Ruskin University, Liverpool John Moores University, Sheffield Hallam University Radiotherapy, ASMPT SMT UK, Kannegiesser, Alstom, Encore, RAF, CE Geotech Ltd and Frazer-Nash Nuclear Engineering.
